RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Margaret I. (Peggy) Suhocki, age 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 26, 2010 at the Lutheran Care Home, Clinton.
Margaret was born on December 1, 1922, in the town ofWarren, the daughter of the late Clifford and Waunetta (Becker) Stiles.On October 2, 1946, she married John A. Suhocki.He passed away in at the Syracuse Veterans Hospital, on October 14, 1973.
In addition to her parents, and her husband, she was predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law, Florence and John Hamblin, two brothers and a sister-in-law, Floyd Stiles, Everet and Ila Stiles, a grandson Michael Suhocki, and a niece Tracey Ann Young.
Peggy graduated from Van Hornesville Central School, class of 1940.She was employed by the Luxuary Mills until her marriage, then helped her husband John operate the William Morgan Farm.After moving to Richfield Springs, she worked at the Shurcatch Fishing Tackle Company.After its closing, she was employed at the Chef Diner.Many will remember Peggy for the pies and dessert she baked at the diner.
Peggy is survived by her two sons, Dale Suhocki of Utica, Dennis Suhocki and his wife Diane of Richfield a grandson Justin Suhocki and his wife Ann of Utica, a granddaughter Rose Breslin and her husband Jeffery of Michigan, one sister, Clarissa (Cris) Young and her husband Glen of Starkville, several other grandchildren including Bob and Wayne Suhocki, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.She will be missed by all.
There will be a small memorial service to celebrate her life on Friday, March 5th at the home of Dennis and Diane Suhocki, 189 Millstone Road, Richfield Springs, at 11:00 am.All are welcome.
