MOHAWK-Marguerite Jane Moschetto, age 84, of Warren Street, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, November 21, 2012 in the Masonic Care Community, Utica.
She was born on December 17, 1927 in Mohawk, daughter of the late George and Marguerite Gokey Stickles. Marguerite was raised in Herkimer and was a graduate of Herkimer High School. On July 3, 1954 she was united in marriage with William Moschetto in Saint Francis deSales Church, Herkimer. They made their home in Herkimer where together they shared a loving union of forty-five years until his passing on May 3, 1999.
Mrs. Moschetto was devoted housewife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A warm and caring person she had a special place in her heart for children and for many years took great pleasure babysitting. In her leisure time she enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint and playing bingo. To all who knew her they will always remember her unforgettable smile. She will be truly missed.
Surviving her are a daughter-in-law Linda Moschetto of Mohawk, five grandchildren, Peter J. Moschetto and his wife Karli of Middletown, CT, Cindy Cirillo and her husband Peter of East Herkimer, Melissa Moschetto of Mohawk, Jennifer Lord, of Richfield Springs, Christina Bawolak and her husband William of Richfield Springs, eleven great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and husband William she was preceded in death by a son Peter J, Moschetto Sr. this past June, one sister Betty Rathbun and a grandson, William Moschetto.
Funeral service for Mrs. Moschetto will take place on Wednesday at 10:00 am in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street; Herkimer. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer. The family will be present in the funeral home to receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 5:00 until 7:00 pm.
