MarieKober, 91, of 677 Court Street, formerly of 329 Gray St., Herkimer, died Tuesdayevening, June 6, 2000, in Cheshire Medical Center, Keene.
She was born July 2, 1908,in Edenhausen, Germany, daughter of the late Gunzer and Josephine GussnerUlrich. Marie was raised in Germany and was a graduate of German public schools.On June 3, 1928, she married Albert Kober in Annunciation Church, Ilion, ablessed union of 69 years until his passing Aug. 17, 1997. She and her familycame to Herkimer in 1943. Her life was her love for home and family. She was amember of the Church of Saints Anthony and Joseph, Herkimer, and the GermanMaennerchor Auxiliary, Herkimer.Surviving her are two sonsand their wives, Karl and Elizabeth Kober of Canandaigua, Albert R. and LynneKober of Keene, N.H.; a sister, Annie Brandner of Thannhausen, Germany; sevengrandchildren; two great-granddaughters; two great-grandsons and several niecesand nephews.Besides her husbandAlbert, a brother, Gunzer Ulrich and two sisters, Josephine and Anastasiapreceded her in death.Funeral service andinterment will be private and at the convenience of the family.There are no callinghours.Funeral arrangements arewith Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court St., Herkimer.
