HERKIMER-Marilyn Doris Nagle age 97, passed away peacefully on Saturday afternoon, August 21, 2021, in Valley Health Services, Inc. She was born on October 7, 1923 in Ilion, daughter of the late Adelbert and Clarissa Snyder Capes. A lifelong Herkimer resident, she was a graduate of Herkimer High School. Marilyn furthered her education graduating from Ryder College with a Business degree. ​On November 25, 1948, she was united in marriage to John Nagle in the Saint Francis deSales Rectory, Herkimer. They shared a loving and devoted union of forty-four years until his passing on March 23, 1993. ​For over fifteen years she was an investigator for the Herkimer Credit Bureau. She retired in the early 1970's. ​Mrs. Nagle had a strong belief in God and was a member of the Herkimer Reformed Church. In her leisure time she was an avid Bridge player. Marilyn will always be remembered as a caring, loving and hopeful lady. She was always there for others while looking for nothing in return. She will be greatly missed. ​Surviving are her two daughters, Karen Frasier and her husband Lance of Cobleskill, Debra Vendetti and her husband Frank of Knoxville, TN, a cherished granddaughter, Erika Vendetti and her companion, John Chojnacki, several nieces, nephews and cousins. ​A graveside memorial service will take place on Wednesday September 8, 2021 at 11:00 am in Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer. Funeral arrangements are with Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street; Herkimer.
