Obituary

CLINTON, NY - Marion E. Cullinan, age 86, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 19, 2018, at Colonial Park Nursing Home in Rome, NY. She was born on September 1, 1931, in Herkimer, daughter of the late Leon and Joyce Christman Jackson. Marion was raised in Herkimer and graduated from Herkimer High School with the class of 1949. On January 1, 1988, she was united in marriage to Joseph James Cullinan while visiting her daughter in Naperville, IL. She and her husband first settled in Westbury, on Long Island. After twenty two years they moved to Oneida and in 2009 made their residence in Clinton. Mrs. Cullinan had a strong belief in God and was a member of Saint Helenas Roman Catholic Church in Sherrill. Researching her heritage, Marion discovered she had ties to the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) of which she was very proud. Marion was a voracious reader, loved doing crossword & jigsaw puzzles. She willalways be remembered as a caring, loving and hopeful lady. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her many friends and family especially her eight cherished grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed. Surviving her are two sons, John Hall and his wife Judith of Sanford, FL, Patrick Hall of Ilion, three surviving daughters, Sally Kaye of Torrance, CA, Vicki Stevens and her husband Michael of Taberg, Beth Hall of AL, and predeceased by her daughter Melissa. Also surviving are her one sister, Barbara Doxstader and her husband Richard of Clearwater, FL, one brother, Richard Jackson and his wife Wendy of Ilion, eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service in Middleville Cemetery will be held on June 1st at 11:00 am with the Reverend William Mesmer of Saint Helenas Church in Sherrill officiating. There are no calling hours.
