WEST CAROGA LAKE - Marion P. Pelletier age 92 of Vrooman Place, passed away on Friday morning April 21, 2006 in Wells Nursing Home, Johnstown. She was born on March 9, 1914 in Herkimer, daughter of the late George and Irene Orvis Pierson. She was raised in Herkimer and was a graduate of Herkimer High School. She furthered her education in Syracuse at Crouse-Irving School of Nursing graduating with the class of 1937. For thirty-four years she worked as a Registered Nurse at the Herkimer Memorial Hospital retiring in 1976. On November 11, 1944 she was united in marriage with Henry J. Pelletier in Saint Francis deSales Church Rectory, Herkimer. A loving and devoted union of forty-seven years until his passing on December 31, 1991. Marion had a strong belief in God and was a member of the First Baptist Church Herkimer. She is survived by a cousin, Benjamin Pierson Sr. of West Caroga Lake along with many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be on Tuesday at 10:00 am in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer. Reverend David Kirkpatrick will officiate. Interment in Newport Cemetery will be private.
