RICHFIELDSPRINGS - Marline Lander age 96 of Church Street passed away peacefully onThursday evening October 31, 2002 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Shewas born on August 29, 1906 in Salem, West Virginia, daughter of the lateCharles and Mary Jane Martin Lander. Shewas a graduate of Saint Marys Hospital School of Nursing in Madison,Wisconsin. She went on to theUniversity of Kansas City where she received a Bachelors Degree in English.From there she went to Columbia University in New York City where sheattained a Masters Degree in Art. Fortwenty-five years Marline was the Director of Nursing at Samaritan Hospital inTroy retiring in 1969 to her home in Richfield Springs.It was there that she found great joy in her family, her faith community,in literature and in little children who were attracted to her loving andembracing personality. Marlinehas been a member of the Dibble family for over sixty years. Sheis survived by her adopted sisters; Jeanette Smith of Springfield Center, EileenDibble of Richfield Springs, many nieces, nephews, former students, neighborsand a host of friends. Itwas Marlines request that there be no calling hours. Agraveside funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM in SaintJosephs Cemetery, Richfield Springs. TheReverend William Harkins, Pastor of the Church of Christ Uniting, RichfieldSprings where Marline was a member will officiate. Thosewho wish may make memorial donations to the childrens charity of your choice. Funeralarrangements are with J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, Richfield Springs.
