LITTLE FALLS-Mary Elizabeth Brown, age 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 27, 2012, in Valley Health Services Inc. She was born on December 7, 1924, in Albany, daughter of the late Bessie Victoria Watson. On March 16, 1956 she was united in marriage with Frederick A. Brown in Herkimer. They shared a loving and devoted union of nearly fifty years until his passing on February 9, 2006. She and her husband lived in Little Falls since 1979 coming from Herkimer. For seventeen years Mrs. Brown was employed by the Duofold Company in Mohawk. She retired in 1974. She was of the Catholic faith. In her leisure time she enjoyed knitting and doing puzzles. To those who knew Mary, they will never forget a soft spoken, caring and extremely kind woman with an unforgettable smile. She will be greatly missed by the many special friends and cousin Rose that she leaves behind. Calling hours for Mrs. Brown will be on Monday from 1:00 until 3:00 pm in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street; Herkimer. The Reverend Mark Cunningham, pastor of Saint Francis deSales Church, Herkimer will officiate. Interment will take place later this spring in Oak Hill Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made with memorial donations to the Herkimer County Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. .
