ILION-Mary Laine Farrington (Wellington) age 57, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning October 10, 2018 in her home. She was born on January 11. 1961 in Herkimer, daughter of the late Robert L. and Bertha Elaine Cool Wellington. Marywas raised and educated in Herkimer. She resided in Poland until 1998 when she moved to Ilion. For the past twenty years she served as the Community Role Keeper of the Little Red School House in Ilion. To those who knew her they will never forget a warm, caring and loving lady with a big heart. She was always willing to do for others while looking for nothing in return. Mrs. Farrington will be sadly missed by her many friends and family, especially her cherished grandchildren. She is survived by one son, Robert Clements, eight brothers, Charles Culver and his wife Tracy of Westmoreland, John Wellington and his wife Suzanne of Middleville, David Culver and his wife Cheryl of Little Falls, Howie Culver of Mohawk, David Wellington and his wife Patricia of ME, Ralph Wellington and his wife Anna of Cedarville, Robert Bickford of Herkimer, three sisters, Kathy Bickford, Cissy Rando and her husband Kirk, Bridgett Riesel and her husband Brad all of Herkimer, grandchildren Linsey Clements, Skler and Reily Stanton, several nieces, nephews and cousins along with Special Family Friend David Farrington. She was preceded in death by a son Scott Clements in 2000, a daughter Lisa Stanton in 2012 and a brother Robert Wellington. A graveside funeral service will be on Friday at 10:30 am in Oak Hill Cemetery with the Reverend JoelleFaulks, pastor of the First United Methodist Church Herkimer/Little Falls, officiating. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are with Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., Herkimer.
