RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Mary Kenney, age 51 of Center Street, Richfield Springs, passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon, November 21, 2010, in her home after along illness. She was born on December 9, 1958, in Cooperstown, daughter of Howard E. Hazelton and the late Maggie I Gentry Hazelton. Mary was raised in Richfield Springs and was a graduate of Richfield Springs High School. For many years she was employed at Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown, the Welcome Home in Richfield Springs and in more recent years for Jeremy Selch on Main Street, Richfield Springs. She retired in 2007. Mary at one time was a member of the Junior Ladies Auxiliary at the Richfield Springs Veterans Club. To those who knew her they will never forger her caring way and pleasant smile. She will be greatly missed. Surviving are her loving companion David Diotte of Richfield Springs, he father Howard Hazelton of Richfield Springs, four brothers, Howard, II, David, William and Allen Hazelton, two sisters, Beth Newman and Denise Lohans, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. At Marys request there will be a celebration of her life to be held at a later time to be announced. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are with J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, Richfield Springs.
