CLIFTON PARK - Mary A. McShane Bobone, 74, of Able Drive, formerly of Schenectady, passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, in Schuyler Ridge Nursing, Clifton Park. She was born March 7, 1927, in Springfield Center, daughter of the late Edwin and Celia McKelvey McShane. She was raised in Springfield Center and was a graduate of Springfield Center High School. Mary was first married to John McCarthy who preceded her in death. A resident of Schenectady since 1954, she was a self-employed New York state licensed masseuse and had worked at various well known health resorts. On Dec. 31, 1974, she married Renato Bobone in Schenectady, a loving and devoted union of 24 years until his passing Feb. 20, 1999. In her leisure time she was a master gardener, artist and woodworker. She was a member of the Unitarian Church in Schenectady. Surviving her are one son, William A. McCarthy of Springfield Center; three sisters, Betty Shaw and her husband James of Schenectady, Laura McShane Carter of Springfield Center and Jane Dingman and her husband Lowell of Philadelphia, N.Y.; two grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside memorial service will take place Friday at noon in the Springfield Center Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Springfield Center Cemetery Association.
