SCHUYLER - Mavis Estelle Bunce, age 93, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, July 15, 2015, in St Johnsville Nursing Home. She was born on February 27, 1922, in Schuyler, daughter of the late Irvin and Anna Rank Bunce. A lifelong Schuyler resident she educated in Frankfort and furthered her education graduating from the Excelsior School of Business in Utica. For twenty years she worked for Union Fork and Hoe in Frankfort and for twenty more years at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Utica. She retired in 1984. To those that knew her they will never forget her warm smile and quiet manner. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by five brothers, Paul, Ivan, Earl, Aners and Lynn Bunce and five sisters, Alta Finster, Amy Bunce, Freda Hight, Marion Robellard and Leta Perry. A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 10:00 in Pine Grove Cemetery, Poland. Funeral arrangements are with Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer.
