HERKIMER – Michele D. Breen, age 61, passed away peacefully in her sleep, on Saturday, November 11, 2023. She was born on August 29, 1962, in Utica, a daughter of the late Ronald & Mary (Hamm) Martin. A lifelong area resident for a time she worked at local fast-food establishments. Michele will be remembered as a strong-willed independent person. She enjoyed reading but mostly spending time with her grandchildren, who meant the world to her. She will be missed by her friends and family. Surviving are two daughters, Kaela Breen of Herkimer, Delores Austin, and a son, Martin Austin both of Ilion, two brothers, Ronald Martin, Jr of FL, Neil Martin of Johnstown, a sister, Heather Shelva of FL, fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and close friends.
