RICHFIELD SPRINGS-Monty J. Seamon age 30, entered into eternal rest as a result of a farming accident on Friday January 21, 2005 in Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown.
He was born on January 1, 1975 in Cooperstown, son of Monty G. and Patsy Wiltsey Seamon. A lifelong area resident he was a graduate of Richfield Springs High School. For the past three years he had worked for Titan Homes in Sangerfield.
To all that knew Monty they will always remember his warm smile. He was a friend to many and will never be forgotten.
Surviving are his father, Monty G. Seamon and his wife Candace of Richfield Springs, his mother Patsy and her husband Larry Schoff of St. Johnsville, paternal grand parents Louis and Marie Seamon, maternal grandparents Ed and Norma Wiltsey, his fiance Rustina Helping, a brother Todd E. and his wife Michelle Seamon all of Richfield Springs, two sisters and their husbands, Sarah and Charles Murphy of Nelliston, Kimberly and Wayne Handy of St. Johnsville, Step-grandparents, Wesley and Marie Maine of Ilion, a step-brother Joshua Tucker of Richfield Springs, two step-sisters, Kayleigh Tucker of Richfield Springs, Ashley Doolen of Little Falls, six uncles, four aunts, many cousins and close friends Joey Marriott and Billy Bassett.
The family will be present in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James Street, Richfield to receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 4:00 until 7:00 pm. A funeral service will begin at 7:00 pm with the Reverend Hans Drews officiating. Expressions of sympathy may be made with donations to the Monty J. Seamon Agricultural Scholarship Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
