Obituary

HERKIMER-Nancy Norma Crim, age 61, of South Main Street, passed away on Wednesday morning, July 31, 2013 in Valley Health Services, Inc. She had the comfort of her loving family at her side. Nancy was born on June 28, 1952 in Ilion, daughter of the late Leonard and Norma Snyder Crim. A lifelong area resident she was raised and educated in West Winfield. In her adult years she lived in Ilion until 1998 when she moved to Herkimer. Nancy had worked as a clothing arranger for the Good Will Store in Herkimer and more recently she worked as an adult day care worker in Little Falls. Nancy had a strong belief in God, and regularly attended Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church in Herkimer. In her leisure time she enjoyed caring for animals and spending time with her family. To all who knew her, she was a caring, loving and helpful person. She found much satisfaction in doing for others. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and family, especially her devoted companion Mike Wood. Surviving are her four brothers, Richard Crim and his wife Marie of Cedarville, Gary Crim, Larry Crim and his companion Mary Lou, Leo Crim and his wife Linda all of Ilion, five sisters, Donna Skinner and her companion Ed of TX, Karen Holbert of Winter Garden, FL, Deborah Richards and her companion Louie of Ilion, Diane Armstrong and her husband David of West Winfield, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Barbara Crim. Calling hours for Nancy will be on Monday from 11:30 until 1:30pm in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street; Herkimer. Funeral service will take place immediately after at 1:30pm. in the funeral home. The Reverend Thomas Lawless, pastor of Sts. Anthony and Josephs Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made with memorial donations to the American Cancer Society or the Herkimer Area Resource Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Nancys family wishes to thank her many friends, Hospice Palliative Care, the staff at Valley Health Services, Inc, and Mikes family for the care and compassion shown to Nancy during this difficult time. It was deeply appreciated.
