ILION - Nellie Mae (Juliano) DiSano age 64 of Colonial Circle passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday morning November 28, 2007 in her home where she and her mother have resided for the past ten years.
She was born on May 25, 1943 in Ilion, daughter of Frances Scaparo DiSano and the late Blas DiSano. Nellie was raised in Frankfort and was a graduate of Frankfort-Schuyler High School with the Class of 1962.
On March 27, 1965 she married to Benedict Juliano Sr. and was married to him for twenty-seven years.
Nellie Mae was a stay at home mom and proud of it. Her family, of five sons was the light of her life. She was always there for them and stood by them in both good times and bad. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her many friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great granddaughter. To all who knew her they will never forget her warm smile and caring hopeful manner. She will be truly missed.
Surviving are her devoted mother Frances DiSano of Ilion, five sons, Benedict Ben Juliano and his wife Sally of Whitesboro, Joseph Juliano of Mohawk, Philip Juliano of Columbia, SC, Christopher Juliano and his wife Tracy of Herkimer and John Juliano of Ilion, ten grandchildren, Angela (Juliano) Pontero and her husband Jason, Michael Juliano, Samantha Juliano, Kyle Juliano, Stephanie Juliano, Kimberly Juliano, Christopher Juliano, Rebecca Juliano, Francesca Juliano. One great-granddaughter, Ariana Pontero, three brothers, one sister, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be on Saturday at 10:00 am in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer. The Reverend John Yanas will officiate. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends in the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 pm. Expressions of sympathy may be made with memorial donations to (Breast Cancer) the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
