HERKIMER-Norma A. Leonard age 107, passed away peacefully on Saturday September 17, 2022, at FoltsBrook Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on July 1, 1915, in Schenectady, daughter of the late Francis and Edna Lepper Leonard. Norma was a graduate of Dolgeville High School. She furthered her education at the Utica School of Commerce. In 1942 she went work for the Remington Arms Company in Ilion as a secretary in the Research Department for, thirty-five years, retiring, retiring in 1977. She at one time lived in Dolgeville and later in Ilion before coming to Herkimer in 1960. Ms. Leonard had a strong belief in God and lived a devoted Christian Life.​​She was a member of the Remington Arms 25 Year Club. Norma will always be remembered as a kind, caring and hopeful lady. She leaves behind the staff who loved her and her close friends at FoltsBrook. She will never be forgotten. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 1:00 pm in Fenner Funeral Home.
