HERKIMER-Norma Newman 70 of 690 West German Street formerly of Eastern Gardens went to be her Lord on Thursday afternoon, November 30, 2000 in Little Falls Hospital. She was born on June 22, 1930 in Herkimer, daughter of the late Sewell and Marcella Williams Lepper. A lifelong Herkimer resident, she was a graduate of Herkimer High School. Norma had worked in the Glove Factory and General Electric Company but her primary job was caring for her family. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Herkimer and the ladies Auxiliary of the Michael Pliseck V.F.W. Post # 4915, Herkimer. Surviving her are two sons Mark and his wife Joan Newman of Johnson City, Tim Newman of Herkimer, a daughter Sally and her husband Michael Taylor of Frankfort, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be on Monday at 11:00am in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer, with The Reverend William H. Otis pastor of the First United Methodist Church Herkimer, officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 4:00- 7:00pm. Members of the Michael Pliseck VFW Post #4915 Auxiliary are asked to meet at the funeral home on Sunday for services at 6:00pm
