RICHFIELD SPRINGS - , 78, ofMcKoons Road, passed away on December 26, 2000 in Bassett HealthcareCooperstown.
Olga Skinner was born July 12, 1922 in thetown of Columbia, a daughter of the late Michael and Anna Martenue Tolopka. Shewas one of the first graduates of Richfield Springs High School at the MainStreet Location. She married John F. Skinner on October 3, 1943.
Olga worked along side her husband John on theDairy farm. They raised three children; John, Paul and Janet. She was a memberof the Millers Mills Grange and was active in supporting 4-H club activities.She is remembered for serving homemade ice cream after the children playedbaseball in the haymow and making sure all the deer hunters had plenty to eat onThanksgiving Day
She is survived by her husband, John; a son,John M. Skinner of Houston, TX; a daughter, Janet Elliott and her husband Garyof the town of Columbia; daughter in law, Patricia Skinner of Cedarville; eightgrandchildren, Daniel, Mathew, and Jackie Skinner, Katie, Michael, Lisa, RyanElliott and Laura Skinner. She was preceded in death by her son Paul Skinner in1991.
The family will receive friends and relativesin J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James Street, RichfieldSprings on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. Funeral service will be on Saturday at10:00 am in the funeral home. Interment in Cedarville Cemetery will take placenext spring.
The family has requested donations be made tothe Cedarville Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Fund, 960 State Route 51,Ilion, NY 13357. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
