Obituary

HERKIMER-Pamela Ann Foster age 64 of Shells Bush Road, passed away after an extended illness on Tuesday afternoon May 1, 2012 in Valley Health Services, Inc. She had the support and comfort of her loving family at her side. She was born on June 23, 1947 in Worcester, MA, daughter of the late Raymond and Alberta Bean Apodaca. Pam was raised and graduated High School in Worcester. She moved to this area in 1976 coming from Worcester. On July 4, 1984 she was united in marriage with Richard A. Foster in the town of Fairfield. For twenty years Mrs. Foster was employed by the county of Herkimer where she worked as Volunteer Coordinator for Herkimer County Hospice and later as a Clerk in the Department of Social Services. She retired in 2008. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church Herkimer/Little Falls. Pam also was a member of the Red Hat Society. In her leisure time she enjoyed sewing and crafts. To all who knew her, she will always be remembered as a kind, loving and caring person who found great joy in doing for others while looking for nothing in return. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her many friends and family especially her cherished grandchildren. She will be sorely missed. Surviving are her devoted husband of twenty-eight years Richard, one son, Mark Sherrick of Little Falls, four grandchildren, Amanda, Mark Jr. Richard and Rayann Sherrick, a nephew, Paul Apodaca and several cousins. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, John, two nieces, Shannon Rose and Kelly Apodaca, four nephews, Douglas, Jonathan, Christopher and Daniel Apodaca. Calling hours for Mrs. Foster will be on Monday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street; Herkimer. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home with the Reverend Janet Gleason, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church Herkimer/Little Falls officiating. Interment will take place in Mountain View Memorial Gardens, tow of Little Falls.
