HERKIMER – Pamela S. Pestar, of West German Street passed away peacefully on Friday evening November 20, 2020 at Faxton-St. Lukes Medical Center, New Hartford. She was born on February 10, 1956 in Barnesboro, Pennsylvania a daughter of Betty Pritz Foor and the late John Foor. She was raised and educated locally and graduated from Owen D. Young High School. She furthered her education at Mohawk Valley Community College where she received an Associates Degree. She worked for many years as a manager in the food service industry, her longest tenure being with Applebee's. Pam enjoyed spending her time with friends and family,especially her grandchildren. One of her favorite activities was to bake for the people she cared about. Living life on her own terms, she never failed to come to the aid or fiercely defend her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She was a friend to many and will not be forgotten. Surviving her are a son Joseph Pestar and his wife Stacey of Anacortes, Washington, a daughter Christina Johnston and her husband Dale of Rome, her mother Betty Foor of Herkimer,three brothers David Foor of Syracuse, Donald Foor of Herkimer, and Daniel Foor and his wife Kim of Madison, Wisconsin, five grandchildren Persephone Pestar, Joseph Pestar III, Kyle Pestar, Nash Johnston and Memphis Johnston. She was preceded in death by her father John Foor. Funeral Services for Pamela will be private and held at a time convenient to the family.
