Obituary

ILION-Patrick John Ingerham, age 56, passed away peacefully after an extended illness on Thursday morning March 3, 2022, in his home. He had the comfort and support of his loving family by his side. Gomer was born on September 29, 1965, in Herkimer, the son of Nancy Ingerham Krouse and the late Kenneth Krouse. A lifelong area resident he was raised and educated in Herkimer. On August 18, 1990, he was united in marriage to the former Allyson Murray in Our Lady of the Rosary RC Church in Utica. They made their home in Herkimer until 2004 when they moved to the town of Columbia. Gomer worked as a machine operator for Murray Paving Company Inc. until their retirement in 1998. He then worked for Terri Franklin of View's Valley Paving for eight years and for the past thirteen years for Central Paving in Frankfort. In his leisure time he enjoyed the following sports. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, Dallas Cowboys, Syracuse Basketball and Football and NASCAR Racing. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a member of the Snow-Drifters, snowmobile club in Ilion. Gomer loved to go camping and traveling with his family and particularly the trips to Clearwater, FL. He was happiest when he was surrounded by his many friends and family especially his cherished grandchildren. He will be forever remembered as loyal, giving, helpful and determined man. Any conversation with him was straight and to the point yet you always felt his warmth and friendship whenever you were with him. He will be sadly missed. He is survived by his devoted wife of thirty-one years Allyson, two sons and their wives, Justin Ingerham-Murray (Brandi) of Whitesboro, Harry Ingerham (Sabrina) of Ilion, his pride and joy his "baby" a daughter, Samantha of Ilion, his mother, Nancy Krouse, a brother, David "Louie" Krouse of Herkimer, two sisters, Nancy Hilts of Herkimer, Sara Krouse (Brian) of Richfield Springs, seven grandchildren, Silas, Lilith, Felicity, Channce, Talon, Malia and Forrest, nine nieces and nephews, several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Kaylin Ann Murray in 2014. Calling hours for Gomer will be on Sunday, March 13th from 1:00 until 4:00 pm in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street; Herkimer. A funeral service will follow immediately after at 4:00 pm. Interment will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery later this spring at the discretion of the family. Expressions of sympathy may be made with memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 110 Lomond Ct., Utica, NY 13502. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Gomer's family wishes to express their deep appreciation to those at the Mohawk Valley Health System Faxton Cancer Center, Rebecca Agan, Patty Kinville, Dr. Atul Butala, Dr. Alicia Detraglia and Tanya Marr, NP. His very special chemonurses, Laura Guidi, Nancy Saunders, and Dianna Corrock.
