RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Paul Valachovic Jr., 46, of 6 Gould Ave., passed away Friday morning, July 26, 2002, in the Rosewood Terrace Adult Care Facility, Richfield Springs, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Jan. 23, 1956, in Schenectady, son of the late Paul and Irene Valachovic. Paul was raised and educated in Schenectady. At one time he was employed by Drakes Cakes in Schenectady. On June 11, 1994, he married the former Linda M. Muzio in Schenectady. He has resided in Richfield Springs since 1999, coming here from Binghamton. Paul had a strong belief in God and lived a devoted Catholic life. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, Richfield Springs. He will be greatly missed by many, especially his extended family made up of the residents and staff at Rosewood Terrace. His wife, Linda, survives him. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. in the Rosewood Terrace Adult Care Facility. Sister Patricia Woolheater, community director of St. Joseph's Church, Richfield Springs, will officiate. Funeral arrangements are with J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, Richfield Springs.
