RICHFIELD SPRINGS-Pauline O. Hribar age 75 of County Highway # 25, passed away peacefully on Monday morning December 22, 2014 in Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown. She had her loving family at her side. She was born on April 8, 1939 in Cooperstown, daughter of the late Dorr and Hazel Dornburgh Snyder. A lifelong area resident she was educated first in Cooperstown Public Schools and was a graduate of Richfield Springs High School. On May 4, 1957 she was united in marriage with Walter J. Hribar in the Cooperstown Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Hribar first worked at Buchanan Hardware, the Shur-Katch Company in Richfield Springs and later as a secretary for Skinner-Damulis Auto Dealership. She retired from Skinner Damulis in 2001, after twenty-five years of dedicated service. In her leisure time she enjoyed going to lawn sales, growing flowers in her garden at home and baking for her friends and family. How cherished are the memories of the aromas of fresh baked Zucchini Bread and Banana Bread coming from her kitchen. Pauline was truly devoted to her family and was happiest when she was surrounded by her many friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten. Surviving are her loving husband of fifty-seven years, Walter, two daughters, Ann Ostrander and son-in-law Dan Ostrander of East Springfield , Lisa Conklin of Richfield Springs, a sister Jane Ainslie of Richfield Springs, three grandchildren, Justin Conklin and his wife Tabitha, Brandon Conklin all of Richfield Springs, Jacob Ostrander of East Springfield, two great-grandchildren Cadence and Mackenzie, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters. A graveside funeral service for Mrs. Hribar will take place later next spring at a time to be announced.
