Phyllis M. Smith, 80, widow of Wilfred Willie Smith, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2016. She was born on February 24, 1936. Phyllis leaves behind a son John Bahry and his wife, Andrea of Freeville, three daughters, Linda VanCourt and husband Jesse of Jordanville, Donna OShaughnessy and husband Dennis of Glenmont, Cindy Wellington of Herkimer, 5 cherished grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law Robert Wellington. Phyllis home was her pride and joy. She was well known for her elaborate Christmas decorations on Highland Ave. Herkimer. She also enjoyed traveling, family meals, playing bingo, and especially board game and cards with family. A graveside service will take place at a later date. Phyllis requested there be no calling hours.
