Miss Rachel D. Crim, 31, of Herkimer, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, in the Little Falls Hospital after a life-long courageous battle with several health disabilities. Rachel was born on May 4, 1994, in Cooperstown, NY, daughter of Richard Crim and Violet Kuchenbacker. They were devoted and committed to Rachel's life and cared for the daughter they loved so deeply. She was a graduate of Herkimer Central School, Class of 2015 where her teachers and therapists became a big part of her life and became her second family. Rachel enjoyed watching TV, spending time with her family, especially her niece Gabrielle. In the summer her favorite places to go were the drive-in to watch Marvel movies and the Herkimer County fairgrounds to see her "Fair Family" she was a miracle and blessing. Everyone knew her contagious smile and laughter. She had a special glow about her that drew people to her. Rachel is survived by her father Richard Crim, mother Violet Kuchenbacker, sister Angel Crim, nephew Tabias Crim, nieces Gabrielle, Selena, Felicity all of Herkimer, several aunts, uncles and cousins. She had a special relationship with her "Crazy Aunt Tammy Kuchenbacker" and cousins Lori Pori and Samantha Adams, Chittenango, NY In keeping with Rachel's family there will be Celebration of Rachel's Life on Sunday, June 1, 2025, starting 2PM at the Frankfort Fairgrounds, Frankfort, NY.
