MOHAWK-Rhonda Lynn Eramo age 52 of East Main Street entered into eternal rest on Monday evening September 27, 2005 in University Hospital in New York City.
She was born on August 27, 1953 in Little Falls daughter of the late Raymond and Muriel Yanney Hunt. A lifelong area resident she grew up in Dolgeville and was educated in Oppenheim-Ephrata Central School. In 2001 she married Bart Eramo. He preceded her in death in 2003.
Rhonda had worked as a waitress in various restaurants as well as the American Legion Posts in both Herkimer and Mohawk. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of both American Legion Post # 38 in Herkimer and the Crowley-Barnum American Legion Post # 25 in Mohawk. Her leisure time was spent collecting antiques. She was a friend to many and will never be forgotten.
Surviving are her two sons and their wives, Thomas P. and Heather Smith of Aberdeen, WA, Jason and Aticha Smith of Big Flats, two brothers and their wives, Gary and Sue Hunt, Ozzie and Maria Hunt all of Herkimer, two sisters and their husbands, Elizabeth and Paul Coons of Mount Julia, TN, Lorraine and Lou Sudakow of Herkimer, one granddaughter Rachel Smith of Aberdeen, WA, several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends Linda Kay, Dan Brewer, Georgia Hysack, Charlie Edwards, Clifford Boardman, Judy Butler and Robert Stretch Smith. Besides her parents a sister Ramona Clapper predeceased Rhonda.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday at 9:00 am in Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Town of Little Falls. The Reverend Wrightson Tongue. Pastor of the First United Methodist Church Herkimer/Little Falls will officiate. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are with Fenner Funeral Home Inc., Herkimer.
