JORDANVILLE – Richard B. Jack, Sr. age 92, of Kingdom Road, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening November 27, 2022 in his home. He had the loving comfort of his family by his side. He was born on April 29, 1930 in Mattoon, Illinois a son of the late Albert B. and Odessa McFarland Jack. He was raised and educated in Mattoon and upon completion of high school he served his country in the United States Navy then later he achieved a bachelor degree in college. On May 3, 1952 he was united in marriage with the former Ruth Lang in Bayshore a blessed union of sixty eight years until her passing on November 19, 2020. For over twenty five years he was a programming manager with IBM in Fishkill. For many years he ran a dairy farm with his son. Richard was a member of the Blue Bird Society, he loved animals, enjoyed gardening vegetables and canning them too. He is survived by his son Richard B. Jack, Jr. and his wife Susan of Jordanville, a daughter Carol Jack of Mohawk, three grandchildren Richard Jack, Danielle Jack, and Garrett Jack, three great-grandchildren Addie Whaley, Jace Jack, Sophie Jack, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a brother James Jack and a sister Shirley Rardin. A graveside service for Richard will take place at a time convenient to the family in Highland Rural Cemetery, Jordanville.
