MOHAWK-Robert F. Goebel, Jr., 47, of Yule CornersRoad, died on Wednesday November 8, 2000 in his home.
Born on February 24, 1953 in Herkimer, he was the son of RoseA. Massaro Goebel Goodman and the late Robert F. Goebel Sr. A lifelong arearesident he was raised and educated in Herkimer. On February 12, 1993 he marriedKaren Ferrucci in Richfield Springs. For many years Bob was a self-employedcarpenter. In June of this year he went to work for Harrington Butler Buildersin Cooperstown. He took great pride in his work and always lived up to hisreputation. Among his works was the restoration project at the Church of theGood Shepard in Cullen, which he was very dedicated to. He was a member of theSaint Johns Episcopal Church , Richfield Springs.
Surviving him are his loving wife, Karen; two daughters,Terra and Lianne Goebel of Palm Coast, FL; his mother, Rose and step-fatherHarry Goodman of Springfield Center; three sisters, Jane and her husband FrankGetman of West Winfield, Janet and her husband Jerry Gilbert of East Herkimer,Leona Goebel of Burlington, VT; a step-brother, Brad Goodman of Mohawk; astep-sister, Stacey Nunneker of Kannapolis, NC; nine nieces and nephews, Jamesand Kathy Ward, Sarah-Jane and Benjamin Getman, Josiah, Isaiah, Elijah andHannah Gilbert, Grant Goebel; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A reading of the Burial Office and Celebration of HolyCommunion from the Book of Common Prayer will take place on Monday at 10:00 a.m.in Saint Johns Episcopal Church Richfield Springs. The Reverend John DixonBartle, Rector will officiate. Committal will be private and at the convenienceof the family.
The family will present to receive relatives and friends in FennerFuneral Home Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer, Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the Church of the GoodShepard, Cullen in care of Saint Johns Episcopal Church, Richfield Springs.Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
