MOHAWK-Robert William Garlock Jr., age 59 passed away quietly on Monday afternoon July 26, 2021 in his home after an extended illness. He had the comfort and support of loving family and friends by his side. Bob was born on October 23, 1961 in Herkimer, son of Geraldine Bowman Garlock and the late RobertWilliam Garlock Sr. He was raised and educated in Herkimer. For most of his adult life he was a self-employed home improvement contractor and for the past seven years was employed by Bernie Sommer Contracting in Mohawk.

Bob was born on October 23, 1961 in Herkimer, son of Geraldine Bowman Garlock and the late RobertWilliam Garlock Sr. He was raised and educated in Herkimer. For most of his adult life he was a self-employed home improvement contractor and for the past seven years was employed by Bernie Sommer Contracting in Mohawk. He was a member of the Crowley-Barnum American Legion Post # 25, Mohawk. To all who knew Bob will never forget a man with a strong work ethic and helpful way about him. Any conversation with him was straight and to the point yet you always felt his warmth and friendship whenever you were with him. He will be sadly missed.
He is survived by his son Robert W. Garlock III and his wife Shannon of Herkimer, four sisters, Roberta Hall and her companion Dale Battisti of Lasselsville, Barbara Guyer and husband Jocko, Carol Begley and her companion Brian Herringshaw and Crystal Hurteau and husband Terry all of Mohawk, eight grandchildren Destiny Garlock, Cheynnne Garlock, Riley Novak, Alexis Garlock, Conrad Charles, Schuyler Patterson, Jenna Norris and Brian Harris along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours for Mr. Garlock will be on Thursday July 29th from 4:00 until 6:00 pm in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street; Herkimer. The family has extended an invitation to join them for fellowship and refreshment following the calling hours at American Legion, 128 South Litchfield Street, Frankfort .
The Garlock family wishes to extend a special thank you to their cousins Janet Miller and Ted Christmanfor the care and compassion shown during this difficult time as well as the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc.
