Obituary

RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Roberta Bobbie Edith Loiacono-Hallock age 63 passed away on Saturday morningMarch 31, 2012 with the Lord and her family at her side. She was born on July 18, 1948 in Ilion, daughter of June E. Hoke and the late Ernest Skip Hoke Sr. Bobbie graduated from Mohawk Central School with the class of 1967 then went on to graduate from BOCES (Manpower Program) receiving her LPN License. While working at Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital, she attended Morrisville College and in 1987 received her Registered Nurse Degree. She then obtained her CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) Certificate and maintained it until she retired in 2005. Mrs. Hallock was a member of the Richfield Springs Fire Department serving as an EMT3 and was Captain of their squad for seven years. She was highly respected by her co-workers and the families of the patients that she cared for. She also served on the Community Disaster Planning Board. It was through the fire department that she met her loving husband of twenty-three years Thomas Hallock. She was predeceased by her son Jason Foster, her father Ernest Hoke Sr. and her loving in-laws, Bud and Miriam Hallock. Besides her husband Thomas, she is survived by two sons, James F. Foster of Phoenix, AZ, John M. Foster of Herkimer, two step-daughters, Melissa Allison of Schuyler Lake, Jennifer Vibbard and her husband David of Fly Creek, eight beloved grandchildren, Katie, Megan, Ellen, Matthew, Lauren, Jacob, Jolie and David, three sisters, Terry Skramko and her husband David of Ilion, Linda Madison and her companion Bryan Marcucci of Johnstown, Judith Schell and her husband Edward of Herkimer, four brothers, George A. Loiacono of Ilion, Theodore Loiacono of Mohawk, Keith Loiacono and his wife Doris of Jordanville, Ernest Hoke Jr. of Herkimer, a brother-in-law, Richard Hallock and his wife Susan of Naples, FL, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours for Mrs. Hallock will be held in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James Street; Richfield Springs on Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 pm. A County Memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm Tuesday in the funeral home. Funeral service will be on Wednesday morning at 10:00 am in the funeral home with Pastor Alan Miller officiating.. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to the Richfield Springs Fire Department, PO Box 1456, Richfield Springs, NY 13439. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. The world was a better place because she was in it, as heaven is now. Bobbie loved having garage sales, so were sure shes organizing one in heaven.
