FORT PLAIN - Ronald R. Hagadorn Sr., 58, of Fordsbush Spur Road, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002, in Little Falls Hospital as a result of a heart attack. He was born April 14, 1944, in Millers Mills, son of the late Loren and Helen Gay Hagadorn. A lifelong area resident, he graduated from West Winfield High School, class of 1963. On May 9, 1964, he married Paula Batease. He was happiest when he was surrounded by his friends and family. In his leisure time he enjoyed working on cars. He will always be remembered as a determined man with strong values. Besides Paula, he is survived by his son, Ronald Hagadorn Jr. of Fort Plain; one daughter, Tammy and her husband Edward Sterling Jr. of Ilion; two grandchildren, Joseph and Brianne Sterling of Ilion; one brother, Herbert Hagadorn and his wife Debbie of Mohawk; a sister, Ruth Clishman of Lynchburgh, Va.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Hagadorn, who was killed in the Korean War and Raymond Hagadorn, who died in 1986. The family will be present in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court St., Herkimer, to receive relatives and friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
