HERKIMER-Rose M. Ingerham Lyga of 325 Eastern Avenue passed away on Saturday February 3, 2001 in Little Falls Hospital. She was born on February 13, 1939 in Ilion, daughter of the late William and Rose Tamburro Ingerham. A lifelong area resident, she was educated in Frankfort Schools. On March 3, 1957 she married John Lyga in Herkimer. Mr. Lyga preceded her in death on May 9, 1998. Rose was once employed as a waitress for Dan Dee Donuts in Herkimer. Surviving her are a daughter; Kate and her husband Mike McCarthy of Atlanta, GA, three sons; John and his wife Laurie Lyga of NC, Christopher Lyga of Nashville, TN, Shawn Lyga of Herkimer, five grandchildren; Callahan and Cooper McCarthy, Steven and Allyson Lyga, Zachary Lyga, seven brothers and six sister-in-laws; William and Betty Ingerham, Donald and Dorothy Ingerham, Anthony and Kathleen Ingerham all of Herkimer, Charles and Betty Ingerham of Mohawk, Thomas and Jackie Ingerham of Frankfort, three sisters and two brother-in-laws; Dolores Edick and her companion Skip Smith, Nancy and Kenneth Krouse, Woody Mason , Katherine Ingerham all of Herkimer, three aunts Anna, Nancy and Fannie Tamburro of Frankfort. Two special nieces and nephews Elizabeth Reaves and Ronald Williams, Laurie and Gary Czarnecki, several nieces, nephews and cousins. A sister Joanne Mason predeceased her. Funeral service will be on Wednesday at 11:00 AM in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer with the Reverend Alfred Lamanna officiating. Interment will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery later this spring. The family will be present in the funeral home to receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
