Obituary

RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Ruth M. Bogart age 86 of South Street passed away peacefully on Sunday evening March 24, 2013 in her home. She had the comfort of being surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing. She was born on February 8, 1927 in East Meredith, daughter of the late Earl and Mildred Allan Bogart. A lifelong area resident she was educated in Cooperstown Public Schools. Ruth grew up on the family farm and for many years worked as a dairy farmer on the Mulligan Dairy Farm in the town of Exeter. She also worked for the Sure-Catch Company and was a delivery person for Charlie Abrams Pennysaver Newspaper in Richfield Springs. Miss Bogart retired in 1989. To everyone who knew her, she was a quiet, gentle and hardworking lady. Her family was most important to her and she was always there for them. She will be truly missed. Surviving her are two sisters, Helen Mondore and Katherine Hempstead, one brother, Richard Bogart all of Richfield Springs, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred Shorty Bogart and Charles Bogart, two sisters, Marie Bogart and Pearl Stocket. A graveside funeral service will take place later this spring in Schuyler Lake Cemetery at a time to be announced. Funeral arrangements are with J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, Richfield Springs.
