Obituary

JORDANVILLE-Samuel A. Byler age 32 of Wiltse Corners Road, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday evening June 21, 2009, in Mary Imogene BassettHospital, Cooperstown. He was born on December 4, 1976, in Dover, DE, son of Andrew and Lena Miller Byler. Samuel was raised and educated in Dover. On November 5, 1998, he was united in marriage with the former Rachel King in Dover. They have made their home in Jordanville since 2007 coming from Dover, Delaware. Mr. Byler had owned and operated Bylers Dairy Farm in Jordanville. Samuel will always be remembered as a sincere, hardworking man who was happiest when he was surrounded by his many friends and family, especially his three cherished children. He will be greatly missed. Surviving besides his wife of ten years Rachel, are two sons, Bennie Ray and Jerry Byler, his daughter Mary Kathryn Byler, his parents Andy and Lea Byler, seven brothers, Mervin, David, Andrew Jr. William, Daniel, Reuben and Harvey Byler, two sisters, Lydiann Yoder and Emma Byler along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother Jerry. Funeral service will be on Thursday morning at 9:00 am at the David Detweiler residence, Geywitts Road, with Ray Byler officiating.
