Obituary

COLD BROOK Sandra Mae Pentland, age 67, of Bull Hill Road, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2009 in Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown. She was born on April 20, 1941 in Mohawk a daughter of the late Robert E. and Elizabeth Ray Kennedy. A lifelong area resident she graduated from West Canada Central Schoolclass 1959. On September 19, 1970 she married Charles W. Pentland. They shared a devoted union of 28 years until his passing in 1998. As a young girl she had worked for Allegro Shoe manufacturing in Little Falls. For a few years she had worked as a legal secretary for John Zoller, Esq. retiring in 1971 to raise her family. Sandra was a devoted wife and caring mother who always put her families needs first. She enjoyed her home, cooking, baking and tending her gardens of flowers and vegetables. Crocheting and caring for her cats and dogs were her recreations. She will be greatly missed especially by her sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are two sons, Charles Pentland II of Cold Brook, Robert Pentland and his companion Jessica, of Herkimer, one sister Susan Ferguson and her husband Daniel of Frankfort, four grandchildren, Danielle Pentland, Elizabeth Pentland, Timothy Miosek all of Herkimer, Shannon Miosek of Mohawk, three great grandchildren, Madison, Emily Rose and Sky Marie Miosek. Besides her parents and husband Charles, she was preceded in death by her son Scott David Pentland on December 26, 2008. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 18th at 2:00 pm in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witness, Brockett Road, Dolgeville. There are no calling hours. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
