HERKIMER Scott Charles Clements, age 28, of Westwood Drive, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 1, 2006.
He was born on May 27, 1978 in Herkimer, a son of Mary Wellington Farrington of Ilion and Frederick Scott Clements of Richfield Springs. A lifelong area resident, he graduated from Herkimer BOCES . He has been employed with the Herkimer Industries since then.
Scott enjoyed all sports, including baseball and football was an avid Bills fan. He found peace and beauty in natures surrounding especially fishing and bike riding. He will always be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor. He loved being around people and had the ability to make everyone laugh. He will be greatly missed by all his friends, co-workers, staff and especially his family.
Surviving beside his mother, Mary Farrington of Ilion and his father Frederick Clements of Richfield Springs are his step parents, David Farrington of Syracuse, Judy Clements of Richfield Springs, a sister Lisa Stanton of the town of Ohio, Grace Baker of Herkimer, Robert Clements of Utica, Bruce Clements and Delbert Clements both of Richfield Springs, step grandparents Winifred Lynch of the town of Ohio and Elizabeth McConkey of Palatine Bridge, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his extended family, Stan, Daniel, John, James and Richard, his co-workers, a host of friends and the staff of Herkimer Area Resource Center.
Funeral service will be held on Monday at 4:00 p.m. in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer. Reverend William Harkins, pastor of the Church of Christ Uniting, Richfield Springs, will officiate. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Richfield Springs will take place later this spring. The family will be present in the funeral home to receive relatives and friends on Monday from 2-4 p.m. (two hours prior to the funeral service.)
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of the Westwood House, and Herkimer Area Resource Center for all the compassion and love given to Scott over the years.
