HERKIMER-Scott David Pentland age 33 of William Street passed away unexpectedly on Thursday December 26, 2008 in Faxton-St Lukes Medical Center, New Hartford. He had the comfort of his loving family at his side. He was born on May 21, 1975 in Ilion, son of Sandra Kennedy Pentland and the late Charles Pentland. Scott was raised and educated in West Canada Valley Central School. On December 10, 1994 he was united in marriage with the former Diane M. Seaman in Herkimer where they have resided since. Mr. Pentland was last employed in the maintenance department of HM Quackenbush Company, retiring in 2001. Scott found his peace in the out of doors; he especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and bicycling. In his leisure time you would find him always repairing something whether it were his or a friends. He was a friend to many and will never be forgotten. Surviving him are his wife of fourteen years Diane, four children, Danielle and Elizabeth Pentland, Timothy Miosek all of Herkimer and Shannon Miosek of Mohawk, his mother, Sandra Pentland of Cold Brook, two brothers, Charles Pentland of Cold Brook and Robert Pentland and his companion Jessica of Herkimer, three grandchildren, Madison, Emily Rose, and Sky Marie Miosek along with many cousins. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 pm inFenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street; Herkimer. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
