Sharon Moore, age 69, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Mohawk Valley Nursing Home. She was born on February 23, 1948 in Dolgeville, a daughter of the late Gordon and Esther Ives Moore. A Lifelong area resident she was raised in Dolgeville and graduated from Dolgeville High School. Sharon had a strong faith in God and was a member of Christ Episcopal Church. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered as a person with a good heart who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Sharon will be sadly missed. Surviving are two sisters, Jeanie Moore of Syracuse, Mary Ann Switzer and her husband Dan of Ilion, a niece Pearl Bennett of Syracuse, cousins Carol Benson of Dolgeville and Amy Steele of Green, along with several other cousins and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 5th at 3:00 p.m. in Christ Episcopal Church, 300 North Main Street, Herkimer with the Reverend Jill Stellman, Priest-in-Charge, celebrating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
