SCHUYLERLAKE-Sharon Ann Murdock Coe age 59 of Tunnicliff Rd. entered into eternal rest on Saturday morning October 18, 2003 in her home. She had the comfort of her close friends and loving at her side.
She was born on July 22, 1944 in Cooperstown daughter of the late Gordon C. and Elizabeth (Betty) VanAuken Cushman. A lifelong Schuyler Lake resident she was educated in Schuyler Lake and Richfield Springs Central Schools. While growing up she enjoyed her family, Elvis and had a passion for dancing and roller-skating. On July 28, 1962 she married Richard H. Murdock Sr. in the Church of Christ Uniting, Richfield Springs. A devoted union for over than twenty-two years he preceded her in death on July 15, 1984. At one time she had worked for Sure-Catch in Richfield Springs and from 1977 to 1996 she was employed by the Meadows in Cooperstown as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
She was a member of the Schuyler Lake Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, the Bowling League and the Exeter Historical Society. In her leisure time she liked to crochet, work in her flower and vegetable gardens, watch the Food Networks on television and cook. She particularly liked spending time with friends, family and playing Phase 10 with her son Bobby, cuddling her cat beloved Sampson and enjoying watching the deer.
Sharon was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She made every attempt to support her children in their school activities.
The years hold precious memories of Sharon who was special. She filled our lives with happiness and sweet feelings that we will carry in our hearts forever.
Surviving are two daughters and their husbands; Londa and Barry Webster of South Valley, Mindy Murdock-Blix and Barry of Chandler AZ, two sons; CW-3 US Army Richard H. Murdock Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Stafford, VA, Robert C. Coe III son of Robert C. Coe II of Schuyler Lake, one brother; David and his wife Sharon Cushman of Peoria, AZ, two sisters; Donna and her husband Warren Williams Sr. of West Winfield, Pamela Cushman of Big Cabin, OK, a sister-in-law; Robin and her husband Bill Fernalld of Richfield Springs, five grandchildren; Zachary, Billy, Kaitlyn, BJ, and Hailey, several nieces, nephews and cousins and two special people who she mothered like her own Paul and Lissa Allison and their children.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday at 1:00 pm in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James Street, Richfield Springs. Pastor Terry Brant of the First Christian Church, South Valley will officiate. Interment will follow in Schuyler Lake Cemetery. The family will be present in the funeral home to receive relatives and friends on Tuesday (today) from 7:00 until 9:00 pm.
