RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Sheena Renee Burdick age 22 of Taylor Road passed away unexpectedly on Thursday morning November 11, 2011 in Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown. She had the comfort of her loving family at her side. Sheena was born on April 26, 1989 in Cooperstown, daughter of David R. and Malinda K. Duncan Burdick. She was raised in Hartwick until 1997 when her family moved to Richfield Springs. She was a graduate of Richfield Springs High School. She worked as a housekeeper for various cottages and motels in the Cooperstown area. Sheena was artistic and in her leisure time enjoyed drawing and listening to music. A loving and caring young women she had a special love for animals. To all who knew her they will never forget her warm smile and friendly manner. She will be truly missed. Besides her parents David and Malinda she is survived by her devoted companion Chad Hubiak and their cherished daughter, Renee Hubiak, her maternal grandparents, Elwin and Josephine Duncan, her paternal grandparents,, Carl and Gloria Burdick, two brothers, D.J. Burdick and Jason Burdick both of Richfield Springs, two sisters, Hope Burdick of Oneonta, Brittany Burdick of Chester, VA, three nieces, Alizia and Amanda Burdick, Deanna Brouillard, two nephews, Jacob Bennett and David Burdick, several cousins along with many aunts and uncles. Calling hours for Sheena will be on Monday (today) from 4:00 until 7:00 pm in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James Street; Richfield Springs. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 11:00 am in the funeral home with the Reverend John Young officiating. Interment will follow in Schuyler Lake Cemetery, Town of Exeter.
