ILION-Stanley Saffian, age 78, of Brook Street, passed away on Sunday May 30, 2010 in MaryImogene BassettHospital, Cooperstown. He was born on April 14, 1932, in Manhattan, son of the late Sam and Fannie Gangel Saffian. A resident of Herkimer since 1986, Mr. Saffian was a client of the Herkimer Area Resource Centerand has resided at the Brook Street residence since 2006. He had a strong belief in God and led a devoted Jewish life. As a resident of HARC he leaves behind many loyal friends and devoted caretakers. Funeral service will be on Wednesday at 11:00 am in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street; Herkimer. Cantor Kalman Socolof of Temple Beth Joseph, Herkimer will officiate. Interment will follow in Temple Beth Joseph Cemetery, Herkimer. There are no calling hours.
