Stella Lysik age 98 of San Antonio, TX, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Thursday morning, July 28, 2016 at Faith Home in San Antonio. She was cared for by her loving son Eugene, and wife Joyce and the wonderful loving nursing staff, Rosa, Diana, Nadia and Rosie who became her extended family.
She was born August 6, 1917, in New York City, daughter of the late Martin and Agnes Przybysz. She had two sisters, Loddie Lasica (deceased) and Blanche Bielenda (deceased).
On June 4, 1938, she married Joseph Lysik (deceased) in New York City. They were married sixty years. She waited till her children were older before going to work for Macys in the round on Queens Blvd, NY. She worked for fifteen years in the jewelry department. This is where she became addicted to her love of jewelry.
She had four children, Helena, (deceased) and Henry Mlodynia, Richfield Springs, Eugene and Joyce Lysik of San Antonio, TX, Joseph Lysik of Northport, NY and Thomas Lysik and his wife Mary of Canfield, OH.
She had five grandchildren, Susan and Brian Grubb of Miami, FL, Patricia Kasinski and her husband Paul of Port Crane, NY, Deborah Englert and her husband Christopher of Lutherville, MD, Krystal Strong and her husband Steve of San Antonio, TX and Andrew Lysik of Nashville, TN.
She had nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours for Mrs. Lysik will be on Friday from 9:00 am until 11:00 am in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James Street; Richfield Springs. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 am in Saint Joseph the Worker RC Church, Richfield Springs with Father Silvaster Sarihaddula, Pastor officiating. Interment will be in Springfield Center Cemetery.
