He was born on December 27, 1919 in Middleville, son of the late Felix and Frances Schafranik Bucek. He was raised and educated in Middleville and later in Cranes Corners. On February 14, 1942 he was united in marriage with the former Elizabeth Wiegand in Frankfort. They shared a loving and devoted union of sixty-three years until her passing in 2005. Mr. Bucek started out by owning his own dairy farm, he later owned J.S. Drilling in Richfield Springs and from 1964 to 1974 owned and operated the Tally-Ho restaurant. He retired in 1978.
