Susan A. Crandall

Susan A. Crandall, 67, of Herkimer, passed away peacefully at Valley Health Services in Herkimer on Monday, September 14, 2026. Susan was born in Herkimer on November 28, 1958, to Charles E. Crandall, Jr. and Mary Carswell Crandall.

She attended school in Herkimer, graduating from Herkimer High School with the class of 1976. After graduating from high school, she earned her bachelor’s degree at St. Bonaventure University.

After college, she became a Certified Public Accountant and proudly served numerous individual and small business clients throughout the Mohawk Valley over the years. In addition to her accounting and tax expertise, she had numerous creative talents. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed her many craft projects, specially building doll houses for family and friends.

She is survived by her siblings, Charles Crandall, III (Isabella); John Crandall, Sr. (Debra); and Catherine Crandall (George Melita), her nephews and nieces, Charles Crandall, IV (Natalie); Nicole Crandall; Shane Crandall (Shelby); Ashley Crandall; Kyle Crandall (Jenna); John (JJ) Crandall, Jr. and Sean Crandall. She is also survived by her eight great nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.

There will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be held privately at the convenience of her loving family.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Andrew J. Kenyon of Fenner Funeral Home in Herkimer, New York.
