Susan P. GrupHARTWICK Susan P. Grup, 71, of County Rte, 16, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 1,2000 in Bassett Healthcare Cooperstown. She was born on January 27, 1929, in Gloversville, a daughter of the lateHarold and Patricia Andrews Lake. Susan was raised and educated in Johnstown. OnDecember 31, 1949, she married William Grup in Englewood, CO. She and herhusband have resided in Hartwick since 1961 coming from Ilion. For 13 yearsSusan had worked as a billing clerk in Bassett Healthcare Cooperstown, retiringin 1990. She was a member and past Matron of the Richfield Springs Arbutus Chapter#417 O.E.S. During her leisure time she enjoyed knitting and crocheting for herfamily. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, William; one son, William and his wifeLaura Grup of Richfield Springs; two daughters, Sharon and Alan Dutton ofCooperstown, Theresa and George Schweitzer of Felton, PA; a brother Harold Lakeof Ephrata; a sister Mary Ella Godemann of Otter Lake; five grandchildren,Lindsey and Neil Dutton, Kristen and Kyle Grup, and Patrick Schweitzer. She waspreceded in death by an infant daughter Suzanne Grup in 1956. Funeral service and interment will be private. There are no calling hours.
