HERKIMER - Susanne S. Rogers 93, ofSteuben Hill Road died Friday May 19, 2000 in Little Falls Hospital.She was born onMarch 3, 1907 in Herkimer, daughter of the late John and Suzanne Pivko Stransky.Susanne was and educated in Little Falls, graduating from Little Falls HighSchool, "Class of 1925. She continued her education in secretary skills,graduating from Albany Business School. On June 20, 1931 she married MaynardRogers in St. Francis deSales Church, Herkimer a blessed union of 45 years untilhis passing on May 10, 1977. She had worked as a teller for the Marine MidlandBank before retiring in 1972. She enjoyed knitting, gardening, and especiallygrowing vegetables. Susanne had a special love for animals and had been avolunteer for the Herkimer County Humane Society. Surviving are herson John and his companion Donna Merryman both of Herkimer; two granddaughters,Jolee Rogers Dawidowicz, her husband David, and their children Ryan and Courtneyof Herkimer, Leslie Rogers Wereszczak, her husband Andrew and their son Alec ofOxford, Pa.; a dear friend Helen Stransky, as well as her feline companion,Dennis the cat. Besides her husband Maynard her brother John preceded her indeath in 1942. Funeral Service willbe on Monday at 11:00 am in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street,Herkimer. The Reverend Dale Dickerson Pastor of Trinity Evangelical LutheranChurch, Herkimer, will officiate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Thefamily will be present in the funeral home to receive friends and neighbors onMonday morning from 10-11 a.m. Memorial Donationsmay be made to the Herkimer County Humane Society. Envelopes will be availableat the funeral home.
