HERKIMER Tammy Ann Rando, age 57 passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, November 17, 2016 at the home of her daughter. She was born on January 27, 1959 in Herkimer daughter of the late Leroy and Evelyn Brewer Pomeroy. A lifelong area resident she was raised in Mohawk and graduated from Mohawk High School with the class of 1978. In July of 1981 she was united in marriage to Daniel Rando. She had worked as a care giver at the Day Treatment Unit with Herkimer Area Resource Center. She retired in 2008. Tammy was a loving person with a caring heart and will be remembered for her kindness and gentle smile. Surviving are her, husband, Daniel, of Herkimer, a son Jason Francis Rando and his wife Tiffanie of Cold Brook, her daughter, Brook Jones and her husband Cody, of Herkimer, a granddaughter Aubree Jones, two nephews and one cousin. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Leroy Pomeroy. The family will be present in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer, to receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice for the care extended to Tammy and the family during her illness.
