Thelma I Krenichyn's Obituary

HERKIMER -Thelma I. Krenichyn, age 83, of Walnut Avenue, passed away on Sunday afternoon, September 30, 2001 in Little Falls Hospital. She was born on April 22, 1918, in Gloversville, daughter of the late Lee and Irene Eglin Corman. A lifelong area resident, she was raised in Mohawk and graduated from Mohawk High School. Mrs. Krenichyn was first married to Voris Davis who died in 1990. On October 11, 1997, she married Daniel Krenichyn in Sts. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, Herkimer. Mr. Krenichyn passed away on August 25, 2001. For 38 years, she was employed as a clerical worker for the Montgomery Ward Store, in Herkimer, retiring in 1976. She was a member of the Mohawk Reformed Church, a Past Matron of Myrtle Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and current member of Evening Star Valley Chapter #82 Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Rebekahs where she held various chairs. Surviving her are a son, Eric Davis, of Kansas City, KS; a daughter, Deborah and her husband, Paul Beaudoin, of Arizona; three stepsons and their wives, Lane and Kathleen Krenichyn, of Herkimer, Daryl and Vicki Krenichyn, of Ilion, and Scott and Susan Krenichyn, of Herkimer; three stepdaughters, Carolyn Dunckel, of Utica, Danalee and her husband, Leon Capone, of Syracuse, and Lisa Holynski, of Herkimer; two brothers, Leonard and Raymond Corman; three grandchildren; 18 step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and a cousin who resides in Syracuse. Funeral service will be on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Herkimer Reformed Church with the Reverend Donald Battjes, pastor officiating. Interment will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Orthodox Cemetery. The family will be present to receive relatives and friends in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer on Wednesday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Folts Homes. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
