EAST HERKIMER – Theodore Donald Bowker age 85, passed away peacefully although unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Wynn Hospital, Utica. Ted was raised in Dolgeville and graduated from Dolgeville High School with the class of 1957. After serving in the United States Air Force he returned to the valley. On May 23, 1964 he married the former Patricia Costanzo. They settled in Herkimer and shared a devoted union of 60 years until her passing on November 5, 2023. He began his illustrious career in the banking industry, including Marie Midland, Herkimer County Trust and the Remington Credit Union. He was well respected and enjoyed a lengthy career well into his 70's. Ted was a gentleman at business and beyond and became a legend in the banking business throughout the valley. He is survived by a son Michael and his wife Michele of Saratoga, a daughter, Susan of Florida, two granddaughters, Meagan and her husband Dan, Sydney and her husband Morgan and his great-grandchild, Quinn. Also surviving are his sister-in-law, Susan Costanzo and many nieces, nephews in Whitesboro, Syracuse and Philadelphia. Besides his parents and wife Patricia, he was predeceased by two sisters Dawn Pierce and Sandra Critser and his brother-in-law Anthony Costanzo. Funeral arrangements will be private and at the convenience of the family.
